What got you into veterinary medicine? My father was a veterinarian back in Michigan, so as a second generation veterinarian, I guess you could say it's in my blood.
There are many variations on the veterinary clinic. As the business owner, what are your goals with your clinics? I think our mission statement sums it up pretty well..."We continually strive to provide the most compassionate care for our patients, provide the highest level of service for our clients, and create a nurturing and secure environment in which our 'clinic family' can flourish and grow personally and professionally."

As we look into the future, how is the field of veterinary medicine changing?
We are lucky to live in a time in which veterinary medicine is such an exciting and dynamic field. There are always new advances, new tests, better materials and medications, and new treatment options. The ability to help pets is better then ever before, and it continues to improve as we look into the future.
What is the greatest challenge you face in your day?
The challenges of veterinary medicine can be as rewarding as they are frustrating. Every day I see patients that have challenging symptoms and complicated cases, but it's such a great feeling to know you have the ability to sort that all out and get these guys back on track.

What kind of experience do you want your clients and patients to have when visiting the clinic? It goes without saying that when you visit the doctor, you want a positive treatment outcome and quality medicine. In addition to that, we strive to make sure out patients are treated like family since they do not always understand why they are here. We also want our clients to feel like we are listening to them, and that we are providing customized treatment options for they family.
What is the key to success in a busy clinic? It is really important to have mutual respect both for our clients, and also for each other as co-workers. We do our best to be supportive and help each other out. When we have positive interactions in that way, there is a good synergy and we all benefit, especially our patients!
